What is a tivùsat Smart Card?
Tivusat Smart Card is a small card (similar to a credit card) to be inserted in the appropriate decoder slot. People buying the tivùsat decoder will get tivùsat Smart Card. To have access to the channels present on TivSsat it is necessary to insert the Card in appropriate slot of the decoder and activate it. The smart card adopts a decoding system which enables the signal to be decrypted, thus allowing people with the respective Smart Card to view the channels.
How can I activate tivùsat smart card?
The card can be activated through the call centre or directly through our website.
Through the call centre:
Before starting the procedure it is necessary to:
- Take note of the serial number on the back of the card.
- Power on the decoder, insert the card in the appropriate slot.
- Tune on a TivuSat channel, for example: Rai 1, Canale 5, la 7.
- Call 199 309 409* and follow the instructions.
- The smart card will be activated in 30 minutes.
Don’t remove the card from the decoder until the activation is completed. Afterwards you will access all the TivuSat channels, without any restrictions.

Which are the details needed for the activation?
At the time of the activation, you will be asked for:
Serial number of the smart card located on the back of the Card
name – surname
address
Italian fiscal code
date and place of birth
telephone number and email address
Do I just need to insert the Card to watch tivùsat channels?
Yes, once the decoder is connected to the satellite system just insert the activated smart card in to the appropriate slot on the decoder. In the case of problems after the card has been activated, call 199 309 409*.

Replacement for smart card failure
To ask for the replacement of the card in the case of failure you will have to contact tivùsat Customer Care (199 309 409*) to start the replacement procedure. tivùsat Customare care will check the smart card and will replace it.
Deactivation of the service
If the decoder returned to a retail outlet, tivùsat card must be returnedas well. In case of an active smart card, a request must be sent for the cancellation of the personal data to:
